About Ms. Viddy Math

At Ms. Viddy Math, our mission is to foster a growth mindset in every student. We know that middle school math—from 6th-grade foundations to Pre-Algebra—can feel overwhelming.

We are here to show students that math is not an innate talent, but a set of skills that anyone can master through time, effort, and support. Our goal is to replace "I can't do this" with "I can learn anything”.

STAR RATINGS
Nicole “Ms. Viddy”

My first goal is for students to have a positive relationship with math.  I want to build up their confidence and lower any stress around the subject.  I try to normalize mistakes and create a low pressure, supportive and fun class environment. I hope to empower them to see that they can master math with time, effort and support.

I'm a Credentialed Middle and High School Math Teacher with 15 years teaching experience in grades 6 through 10 and a Master’s in Teaching.

I started my career teaching middle school math and then moved up to high school.  I love teaching middle school after having taught high school because I have a very clear idea of where they are headed and exactly what they need to succeed in their first years of high school math.

Some fun facts: I've done the flying trapeze, shot a giant confetti cannon on the field of an MLB game, and even made a brief appearance on The Price is Right.  In my free time I love relaxing with my family, yoga, crafting, going on walks & hikes, and shopping at Trader Joes.

TESTIMONIALS

My daughter has grown so much since participating in Ms. Viddy’s course. She is more willing to try and teach what she has learned to someone else. We strongly recommend taking her class. Thank you for teaching my child.

I really enjoy Ms. Viddy’s math class for my child. He has low self-confidence when it comes to math. He looks forward to this class and gets so happy when he starts to understand the concepts. We couldn’t be more happy with your support and guidance in math.

Thank you very much for the feedback Ms. Viddy. I’m usually dreading doing fractions but these lessons have helped me learn that if you break it down into steps, it’s not that hard. Thank you! I am enjoying the math and it’s helping me understand math better!
− Student.
Ms. Viddy makes math fun! She explains difficult concepts in ways that are easy to understand. My child has grown in confidence and is excited about math for the first time in a very long time. She has been such a gift to our family and we are so grateful to have found this platform and Miss Viddy's math classes. No more tears with math! And less stress for the whole family.

Absolutely. My #1 goal is to lower the stress. We normalize mistakes and keep the environment fun and low-pressure. Many students who "avoid" math thrive here because they finally feel safe to try.

We love a challenge! We focus on Mastery, meaning we go for deep understanding and long-term retention—not just "teaching to the test." We prepare them for the rigor of high school math.
