Welcome
These terms explain how our online math classes (live and self-paced) work and what we expect from you. By signing up for or using our services, you (the parent or legal guardian) agree to these terms on behalf of your child.
Who this is for
Our services are for children ages 8–14. Children must use the service under a parent or guardian account. By creating an account you confirm you are the child’s parent or legal guardian and have the right to accept these terms.
Services we provide
We offer live group classes, one-on-one tutoring sessions, and asynchronous/self-paced lessons and materials. Course content, schedules, and features may change from time to time.
Accounts and access
– Parent/guardian accounts: A parent or guardian must create and manage the child’s account, provide accurate information, and keep login details secure.
– Multiple users: Only authorized family members may use the account unless we agree otherwise.
– Account safety: You’re responsible for activity that happens under your account.
Payments, billing, and refunds
– Pricing: Fees for classes, subscriptions, and packages are shown at checkout. Prices may change for new sign-ups; existing subscriptions follow the terms you agreed to.
– Payment processing: We use third-party payment processors. We do not store full card details on our servers.
– Billing: Recurring subscriptions will renew automatically until cancelled. You are responsible for paying all fees until you cancel.
– Refunds and cancellations: Our refund and cancellation policies are posted during purchase and in our Terms addendum. Generally, one-off class cancellations, no-shows, and rescheduling rules are described at checkout.
Class attendance and recordings
– Attendance: Please ensure your child attends on time and follows teacher guidance.
– Missed classes: We do not offer make-up classes or credits in line with our published policy.
– Recordings: We record classes by default. Recordings are for review, make-ups, or teacher training and are stored and shared only as described in our Privacy Policy.
Code of conduct and safety
– Expected behavior: Students should be respectful to teachers and classmates, follow class rules, and use appropriate language and materials. Parents should supervise younger children during classes.
– Prohibited behavior: Harassment, bullying, sharing personal contact details, cheating, or recording others without consent is not allowed.
– Discipline: We may warn, suspend, or remove users who violate rules. Serious or repeated violations can lead to account termination without refund.
– Child safety: We vet teachers with background checks. If we suspect harm or illegal activity, we will report to authorities as required.
Content and intellectual property
– Our content: Lessons, materials, recordings, and platform content are owned by us or licensed to us. You get a limited, non-transferable right to use materials for personal, noncommercial learning for your child.
– Your content: By uploading student work, you grant us a license to use it to deliver services (teach, grade, provide feedback). We won’t use student work commercially without separate permission.
– No copying or redistribution: Don’t copy, share, or resell our materials beyond what is allowed.
Privacy
We follow the practices in our Privacy Policy. By using the service you agree we may collect and use data as described there. (Link to Privacy Policy)
Third-party services
We may use third-party tools (video platforms, payment processors, cloud storage). Those providers have their own terms and privacy rules. We are not responsible for their actions beyond what we can control.
Limits on liability
We aim to provide a safe, reliable learning experience, but:
– No guarantees: We can’t guarantee specific learning outcomes or results.
– Service interruptions: We’re not responsible for interruptions caused by internet issues, third-party services, or events beyond our control.
– Damages: To the fullest extent allowed by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months for the specific service giving rise to a claim.
Termination and suspension
We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these terms, safety concerns, or inactivity. You can cancel your account any time via account settings; cancellation does not necessarily entitle you to a refund (see refund policy).
Disputes and governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the US. If a dispute arises, please contact us first — we’ll try to resolve issues quickly. For unresolved disputes, we may ask to use mediation or small claims court before formal legal action.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. For major changes we’ll notify account email addresses and post the new effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
